Who we are…
FAMILIES WORKING TO REACH HEARTS AND EQUIP LIVES
Co-founders Keith and Carolyn Davis launched JC is the Way Ministries, Inc. in 2015. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, faith-based ministry. Our mission is to equip families to meet life’s challenges through Christ-centered counseling, training, and education to improve their quality of life, promote spiritual development, and facilitate their capacity to nurture other families. We seek to establish a national organization with regional satellites throughout the United States to help fulfill our mission. We envision a nation where families imitate Christ in their thinking, talking, and behaviors, coping with life challenges and solving problems God’s way.
Who we are…
FAMILIES HELPING FAMILIES
Our board, staff, certified biblical counselors, and volunteers are passionate about and committed to helping families. They believe in the power of Jesus Christ to change the lives of the families we serve.
“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.” Psalm 32:8
“Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus” Colossians 1:28a
Our Goals
To improve the quality of life for families
To establish a national organization in each region of the United States to fulfill our mission
To train others to do this work
To provide families with life skill development and the information and tools needed to cope with life, to meet life challenges, and to solve life problems
Our History
Keith and Carolyn Davis, the co-founders of JC is the Way Ministries, Inc., a nonprofit, faith-based Christian ministry, started this organization in 2015 with a mission that is close to their hearts. Our goal is to equip hurting families to meet life’s challenges through Christ-centered counseling, training, and education. We believe that by improving their quality of life, promoting their spiritual development, and facilitating their capacity to nurture other families, we can make a significant difference. While we currently operate as a nonprofit corporation with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status in Chicago, IL, our vision is to establish a national organization with regional satellites throughout the United States.
Our services are rooted in the application of biblical principles to solve life’s challenges. We explore various topics: marital and family problems, premarital inventory, effective parenting, debt-free living, domestic violence and abuse, conflict resolution, alcohol/substance abuse, addiction, grief and bereavement, anger management, emotional distress, self-mutilation, suicidal ideation, Christian doctrine/lifestyle, etc. This unique focus on faith-based solutions ensures that our services are not only effective but also deeply reassuring and comforting.
At JC is the Way Ministries, Inc., we are constantly growing and expanding our reach. Currently, we provide counseling virtually and offer training in basic counseling concepts. Our goal is to prepare individuals, churches, organizations, and groups that serve Christian families, thereby expanding our counseling services to more individuals and families. We offer education both online (via monthly webinars) and in person. Our speaking engagements include a variety of events, and we are also looking to expand our mentoring and discipleship programs in the future.
Despite evidence demonstrating the increased effectiveness of faith-based initiatives for our target market, only some organizations exist to fulfill our mission. Our services are unique because we strive to enrich families by appealing to deep-seated convictions and motivations, a distinctive approach that ensures improved outcomes and may pique your interest.
